Halone, the Fury
IshgardBorn to one of the noble families under the thumb of House Durendaire, Ursulin could not quite place a time when he did not have a lance in his hand. As neither heir nor spare, and rumors of his mother's illicit activity with a member of House Dzemael left with little other option than to join the ranks of the Dragoon knights as a youth. His skills for combat and violence were honed alongside the future Azure Dragoon, an honor he could have cared less to gain.At 22, the unit Ursulin trained with was sent to put down a flock of dragons that had settled close to Camp Dragonhead. The Dragoons ambushed the dragons, but the fight turned into a bloodbath for both sides. Ursulin was lucky in that a poor timed leap to escape sent him tumbling down the Witch's drop, only to land on the body of dying dragon. It was here Hydaelyn granted her gift. The Echo made him see the dragon who was swiftly fading had felt and seen, and for the first time he felt both pity for the creatures and disgust for Ishgard.Instead of letting the creature suffer, he dispatched it with a killing blow, using his last bit of strength to offer it the mercy his kin had not. Instead of succumbing to his own wounds, he found himself being pull back to the top by a young woman from the Shroud. She helped him dispose of his old weapon and armor. To hide and perhaps escape his past, he turned towards the study of thaumaturge with Reinette adopting her surname and profession as his own, honing his aether and mind as his old profession had hone his body. With that, and the rising threat of both Garamald and the Primals looming, he traveled towards Ul'dah. Joining the Adventuring and Thaumaturge guilds, he joined with the other heroes, the Circle of Knowing and the Steps of the Twelve becoming embroiled in the plot of both the beast tribes and the empire. When the Garlean empire turned to bringing Dalamud crashing into Eorzea, Ursulin and his companions answered. The attempt though proved to do nothing, and as the company turned to battle, Dalamud fell and the primal Bahamut was summoned. As the dread wyrm rained destruction down on both sides, Ursulin and those who would become the Warriors of Light rushed the battlefield. When it looked like their lives were about to be counted amongst the masses who had already died, a blinding flash of light surrounded them and teleported them away from the battlefield. When the light cleared, there was no longer a battle. Bahamut no longer soared overhead, and the world seemed to be as whole as one could hope, but Ursulin was very much alone. Bereft of friends, he once again traveled to Ul'dah hoping to make some sense of the world that had seemingly forgotten about them. As before Reinette rescued him, and welcomed him back into the Thaumaturge guild. It was here that he reencountered Thancred Waters, a member of the Circle of Knowing which merged with the Steps of the Twelve to form the Scions of the Seventh Dawn. With the Scions, he researched and study to help restore the world to some semblance of peace while also looking for any sign of his former comrades. This search was daunting, and as the five years passed, fruitless.Ursulin refused to give up hope, continuing to lend his magic and knowledge to the Scions as the threat of the Primals return

Limsa LominsaYuki was already a child when his homeland was invaded by the Garlean Empire, his father put to work under the backbreaking and life threatening conditions as ‘political prisoners’ while his mother was pressed into unsavory work to keep the remains of the family clothed in fed as their people were subjected to increasingly crueler conditions. As he grew older, Yuki grew more embittered towards their oppressors. That bitterness turned into a rage and hatred, that stealing a soldier’s weapon he executed the men that had turned his mother’s home into nothing less than a brothel. Fear for both their lives, his mother and Yuki took whatever they could sell and fled to the coastline. It was here that they boarded a ship smuggling people and goods out of Othard and into Eorzea. They made their way to Limsa Lominsa, his mother finding work as a barmaid at the drowning Wench, while Yuki turned to the Marauders Guild as a way to hone the anger that had bubbled over. He honed himself into a weapon, and turned that weapon against those who would make the weak and the innocent suffer. In with these actions that garnered the attention of others who like him wanted to protect Eorzea from Garlmald and it’s army.He stood with his comrades at the site of the Calamity, the sight of the dreadwyrm and its fury shaking something deep inside him. Yuki could not tell if it was terror or joy that he felt at the destruction, but it stirred something that he clung to long after the flash of light dragged him into the future and away from his comrades. He scraped himself up from the aftermath, leaving Limsa behind for the peace of Gridania. Here he put down his axe and turned instead to the spear and the lancer guild as he tried to find some kind of temper for the anger that still bubbled within.

GridaniaKhole grew up in the safety and comfort of Gridania. Her family consisted of her mother, her brother, as well a few cousins who had turned from a life of poaching to join the Botanist and Leatherworking Guilds. For Khole, the idea of stinking of tanning or tending to trees for sticky sap disgusted her, and she longed for the glamour of something more than the dullest her life had to offer. It was here she turned to archery, a skill her mother had passed on from her poaching days and to honing her natural talent in music. She leapt at any chance she had to perform, be the dull hymns sung to the elementals to the raucous sailor songs she learned from visitors from Limsa Lominsa. She soon became an idol of sorts within the city, and soon Eorzea as a whole as she began to tour other cities. It was here that boredom again began to consume her, and she set out to tearful goodbyes and promises of her return. It was on this journey she joined with others, and soon gained the reputation of being a hero as well as an idol. Khole basked her newfound fame, enjoying every moment of it and always ready to tell of their daring adventures albeit with a little embellishment. This though would come to an end as the world came to near end. As her friends, family and fans joined hands to stare down death, Khloe ran. In the midst of preparations, she packed her things, slipping out in the midsts of all the chaos. She was uncertain on what would come until a blinding light flashed in the distance and those she had abandoned were gone. She assumed they had perished, as had most. In the 5 years that passed she continued on, hiding in plain sight under fake names. She had no desire to alert her former comrades to what had truly become of her, not when they’re whispers of another calamity fast approaching and rumors of a new band of warriors of light.

Halone, the Fury
IshgardBorn to Doman refugees as their homeland was razed and raised by the Ishgardian knight who found the dying caravan and the female Roegadyn Samurai who had been assisting the caravan as they tried to make it through the harsh mountains that protected Coerthas from the rest of the world, Raiden and his four adopted sibling have always been an oddity. The Church viewed the siblings as heretics, something that should be shunned at best while at worst something that should have been left in the mountains for the bear and wolves. His adopted father though acted as a shield for the young Au Ri as they grew, encouraging them to take up lance and armor as he had before. It was difficult the old whispers of heresy still dogging them both as Raijin continued to grow and his features seemed to become more like their draconian enemy. The whispers soon escalated to action as an unknown vigilante set fire to their home. While both escaped unharmed, it was enough to embitter them both to the walls of the Holy City and they traveled south into the welcoming arms of the Gridanians. The knight found comrades within the Wood Wailers and the Lancer’s Guild. Raiden and his siblings though once again found themselves a subject of whispers and curiosity, and while not unkind as they were before, it still made them all acutely aware they did not belong in Eorzea. This twisted into anger at first, resentment for something he felt was stolen from him, but it soon turned into motivation. Even if he was an outsider he could defend Gridania against anything the empire could throw at them. This culminated in the Calamity, and he stood beside his father, comrades and fellow lancers as the worst the world had ever seen shattered everything they had known. While Raiden presumed his father and siblings was some of the many dead from Bahumat’s rampage, Raijin found himself thrown forward in time. Alone, he returned to Gridania, hoping to make some kind of sense of what had happened.

Nophica
GridaniaA native of Gradania and one the elemental’s chosen, O-mono was supposed to be one of the chosen to speak for the forest and it’s will. While growing up he respected the wishes of his elders, but as he watched his family and non-Padjal peers grow, age and experience life outside the shelter of the woods, he grew to resent them. As he grew into his mid-teens and his aging halted, he began to rebel, acting out against the will of the Conjury guild and the religious responsibilities placed on him. While most of the punishment amounted to nothing mere house arrest under the watchful eyes of the guild masters, it did little to fuel the anger that made him rebel as he did. Thus when the opportunity to escape came to him, he took the chance fleeing the city and seek the answers as to why the elementals chose him. When no answers could be found, in desperation and seeking some kind of relief, he attempted to take his own life with poisonous plants.Much like any caring mother, the forest protects its children even if it comes with a price. The mother crystal revived O-mono with the echo, granting him not only the ability to hear the elementals but the tongues of those who most could not understand. When he came back to the mortal realm he was under the care of a group of Duskwights bandits who had found him. The followers thought they could get a ransom for the head of the Padjal, but were turned back with both magic and a razor sharp tongue.O-mono bullied their leader into allowing him to escape, unsure of what his deathbed vision had been. He only had the words she had whispered to him, words the elementals now echoed. With his new companions he struck out to parley with others that had been wronged by the hands of the Spoken Races. It was this he and his allies would turn to adventuring. With them, he would pause his wandering to face the meteor as it threatened Eorzea, and it was with them that he finally found some kind of peace against the anger he had held so tightly. As the world shattered and a blinding light surrounded them, O-mono was sure it was with this new family he would die. It was only when he awoke to the sounds of surprised shouting a year later that he would see that a different plan had been put in place. With peace slowly restored, he returned reluctantly to the conjurer guild. While no teacher , he offered a refuge for those who chafed under the guilds rules an escape. It was here that he also turned to mending a relationship with the beast tribes of the forest, doing his best to aid Little Solace what help he could.

Ul’dahFreya is the child of Ala Mhigan refugees, but unlike the rest of her family she has little memory of the land left behind. Barely a toddler when her family fled, her first tangible memories were of crowded caravans and ashen faces. She had little idea that her people had managed to trade one dictatorship for another. Seemingly facing no other choice but to seek work and shelter in Ul’dah, her family became divided albeit unwillingly. While her father turned to the mines, her mother turned to the coliseum. Freya could hold a sword before she could properly speak, and when her older brother began to train with the pugilist guild she soon followed in his footsteps. She was his shadow, constantly following him on jobs until it became far to dangerous to do so. While her brother took to doing the grunt work, she managed to find a position as both bouncer and waitress within the casino over the guild until the death of their father. She and her brother joined the adventuring guild and struck out until she was called by the mother crystal. After receiving the Echo, she continued adventuring with the group that would eventually go down as a legend. After the calamity, Freya found herself bereft of family and friends. The Ul’dah that greeted her was one that had been changed, but not for the better. Old enemies and new breath down its neck like a lamb before a wolf , and Freya would not stand for it. She took to Little Ala Mhigo, trying her best to rally her broken people to a cause that seemed hopeless. When this effort proved fruitless except to inspire a few firebrands, she traveled to Horizon in attempt to make contact with the scions and to be reunited with the friends she longed to see again.

Azim SteppeAn oddity who traveled from the Azim Steppe after having a vision of Dalamud, the moon his tribe revered, being to the ground by a white raven followed by a dream of meteors, a blue crystal and the words “Here, Think, Feel”. With the blessing of the Elders if his tribe, he turned to the west, traveling with caravans of refugees, merchants, and others heading for the Eorzean shores. A cultural fish out of the water, he had nothing but his strange visions and the strange words offered up to him in that vision. The trade routes and merchants he followed soon lead him to Ul’dah and the adventuring guilds. Here he was enlisted into a group calling itself Dawnguard, an event he viewed as a blessing from the Dawn Father, who had also had strange dreams and visions of the crystal, he would learn was named Hydelean by the people of Eorzea. He continued to travel with hopes to unravel the secrets of Dalamud, only for the secrets of the lesser moon to be much more terrifying than he had hoped. The white revan if his vision turned out to be Nael van Darnus, a legate and scientist who had become obsessed with Dalamud and driven mad from its secrets. It was by the legate’s hand that Baidar learned the truth of Dalamud’s existence, it was not a mere moon but a prison for a most ancient primal. Even with Darnus defeated, the Dalamud could not be stopped in its descent to earth. Dawnguard turned then to put a stop to Garlmald’s invasion, heading what could very well be their deaths.Though Baidar had his beliefs shaken, he still pressed on with his companions. He joined them as they threw themselves at the frontlines of the Garlemald empire, with magic and steel, fury and hope that they would turn the tide of battle. The battle though turned, not to either side but to the monster Darnus had summoned. Baidar found himself struck by both terror, awe, and a strange sort of reverence. He had no time to ponder though as the dreadwyrm began its attack, ravaging the battlegrounds. When the prison summoned by their mentor failed to hold the beast they had no hopes of defeating, the Dawnguard found themselves embraced by a ball of light and flung forward into time. Separated from his friends, and unsure of what the knowledge that had been given to him meant for his people, Baidar began to travel once again, this time with a new purpose of unearthing what he could of the Allagan Empire’s secrets.

Azeyma, the Warden
DomaA Veena Viera who once knew nothing of war and suffering, Valentyne had a very idealistic childhood amongst the forests and mountains of Skatay Range. She often longed to explore those boundaries, often hanging off the hands and hips of her sisters and mother when traders from Dalmasca and other neighboring areas to swap for the tribe’s kills. This curiosity led to her when she was old enough to leave with one of these parties to head into the heartland of man.She spent years as a hunter, learning from the hunting guilds and their ilk, discarding her bow for the more deadly firearms that were slowly being adopted as influences from their neighbors of Ilsabard and Doma. As she grew, so did her reputation as statuesque beauty and skilled opponent. She feared no beast, nor anyone else who would consider trifling with her. With this came dreams, and with the dreams, her ability to understand the world around her improved. She needed no study to understand the foreign traders, nor did she lose her kinds gift of speaking with the Green as many who left the woods did.Much like many other things, this romantic dream came to an end. Garlmald came with its army and weapons, and those who did not die in battle were treated as a little more than a beast tribe. Those Viera who had left their forest home were captured, and if not taken as a slave or play toy, sold to the highest bidder. It was here that Valentyne found herself, barely a teenager by her people’s standards, being traded to the brothels of Doma. Here, she was seen as little more than an exotic animal. She was pampered, spoiled by clients who wanted a taste of the race who rumors only spoke of. A gilded cage though was still very much a cage, and she chafed at it. She wanted nothing more to taste the wilds again, to be free and hunt. The chance would come though at the hands of chance. A Doman client had managed to claw his way through the ranks of their oppressors, now using his new found rank and power to take everything he wanted. He purchased Valentyne for a King's ransom, having her shipped to a mansion he had ‘acquired’ in the power struggle.Much like before he lavished Valentyne with gifts, playing at her being his ‘wife’. Now though without the eyes and ears of the brothel owners to stay his hand, he heaped whatever abuse that trickled down on to her. Fear of reprisal drove her to bow to his every wish, even as the desire for freedom grew. When his moods were fair, she entertained him as best she could with both body and the stories of her time as a hunter. He took to these stories the most, liking the idea of this trophy he not only show off in his home but also amongst the nobility who had come to hunt yanxian tigers. He soon began to outfit her with gear, selling her as a guide for those hunts. Valentyne was grateful for these brief outings, often lingering after the job was completed. It was here she caught the eye of a Garlean native officer, who took to calling on her for his visits to Doma. Much like suitors before he heaped gifts on her away from the eyes of her master, arming her with the best guns money could buy and a tiger cub he had captured to amuse her. This would end though, as her master found out about the officer, and in his rage threatened the cub that was Valentyne’s only source of comfort. In her blind fury, she shot her master, leaving him for dead. Gather what she could, she fled, following some unknown instinct to the west and Ala Mhigo. Here she hid amongst the refugees fleeing the Garleans until she made her way to Ul’dah. She began playing both her trades, leading syndicate members into the Black Shroud to hunt and entertaining them once the day was done back in their homes. It was here, that she survived the Calamity, and it was here where she would gain contact with the Scions of the Seventh Dawn through their man in the city. Through him, she would join with others who had the same gift and journey to face down an evil that threatened more than just Eorzea.

Rather than face the prospect of death either by the hands of enemy tribes or the harsh landscape he traveled to the east. He spent most of his teenage years in the exotic embrace of the Thavnairans, studying their alchemical skills as well as honing his own natural flare for preforming.Bad luck would strike again though in the form of the calamity. While Thavnair was spared from the event, rumors of Eorzea being in ruins reached its shores. Driven by curiosity and a strange whisper that now came after witnessing the distant destruction, Khunbish hopped a merchant ship bringing in trade goods to Ul’dah. From there he traveled into the embrace of the Black Shroud, taking up with the conjury guild.Even as Eorzea began to recover from the calamity, Khunbish was still haunted by visions of figures in blinding light. Nophica, the Matron
UnknownA Viera of the forests at the base Skatay Range, Kara was raised as a skilled Hunter and tracker. The mountains had served her people's protector for centuries until the war thirsty Garleans had begun to their campaign into the regions of Dalmasca and the forests the two Viera clans called home. Kara's tribe ambushed a scouting unit probing the forest, only to meet with the superior firepower and strength.Their village was burned and those who lived were captured and forced into ranks of the Garlean Military or into the laboratories of the scientists that served the military and supplied with new tech and grotesque experiments. Kara was unfortunately chosen to join the ranks of those tested and experimented on. Her and a handful of others were enhanced either with magitek or other means to form what would have been a squadron dub Valkyries to be deployed into Ala Mhigo. The experiments failed though leaving most of her sisters mentally or physically scarred. She (at the cost of one her eyes that she removed in a fit of madness) and a handful of others survived but the unit was never seen to fruition instead they were deployed to different units around the Empire. Kara was sent to the Valkyries' intended destination under the hand of one Gaius van Bealsar. Enhanced, she had an edge on some of her fellow soldiers clawing her way into a position that offered her chance to escape. Under the guise of escorting workers to the wall, she instead turned on her accompanying soldiers and freed both her and the refugees under her protection. They fled to Ul’dah, and having little outside her martial skill to offer, she entered into the gladiatorial matches. Here she was treated as a dangerous exotic beauty who would take all comers in matches. It was here that she became embroiled with the plot Ascians were setting into motion and began to hear the voice of Hydelean as the Echo awoken in her.

GridaniaPetra was raised as a wanderer, her mother long since left the Wood for the world beyond its borders. She never knew a single home, her mother passing through the circles of the rich and noble as a novelty, a gifted performer who men clamoured for. She passed on her skills to Petra, who after wasting a few youthful summers as the arm candy of a member of the Syndicate of Ul'dah, hopped an airship to Gridania where she hoped she could 'reconnect' with her roots. It was there she met a young Elezen Archer and performer named Beaucoup, and she attached herself firmly to his side as a friend and partner in an attempt to bring a little more excitement to Gridania's art circle. To their credit they have only had rotten vegetables thrown at them twice, and only once was it from the actual audience. She took her success and failures in stride seeing it as a chance to offer some joy and hope to the damaged landscape. It after one of their performances that they met with other members of the multiple guilds of the city and joined with them after some disturbances were affecting the forest. As time wore on the Onishi family began making connections within the fishing and shipping industry and opened an Doman style open market that evolved quickly into a restaurant that offered Doman street foods and then branched out into a more fine dining experience under the name Oishī tsuki. As Doma fell under Garlemald control, more of Suki’s family immigrated into both Limsa Lominsa and the family business. Because of this Suki could not remember a time her life was not entranced in food, and it was something while she loved her family and their culture, she had no desire to follow through with. Inspired by both the marauders, pirates and military personnel that passed through she turned toward a life as an adventurer. She joined the arcanist guild after finding herself unable to lift the giant axes that her friends offered her and having more aptitude for magic. Here she flustered, and with her family’s blessing (and decked out in advisement with the brands mascot Sunnaku-Chan)she began undertaking missions to help the city as a whole. GridaniaA witch from a long line of Duskwights who studied ‘wild’ magic, Reinette was used to being seen as an outcast, but she didn’t allow the suspicions that followed her people to ruin her warm outlook. Instead she thrived under her grandmother’s tutelage, the old crone and her granddaughter offer comfort and easing the pain as best they could to those who had been rejected by the elementals or Gridania as a whole. The care they offered was limited, but was often funerary rights for the dead and poison for the dying. The family developed a working relationship with the migrants of Quarrymill, often supplying them with mead, wild game and their other services. They buried and cremated the dead of the Duskwight bandits and those who refused to join Gridanians in their city due to the bigotry. Soon they began to venture further out into the Shroud, attending to those who ask for them. As Reinette grew so did her gift, and she began to hone her skills in her family’s witchcraft, an aged remnant of what was once the power of the Void Mages of Mhach. As with that growing skill, so did her curiosity of the outside world. Although she did so cautiously, she began to visit the neighboring city state’s lands. It was during an outing to Coerthas, she witnessed a Dragoon downing a dragon and fell to what she presumed was his death. Compassion beat out caution, and she ventured down into the Witch’s drop. There she tended to the young Elezen who had nearly died, pulling him back up to the top and when he was finally able, she helped him hide his armor and spear before taking him to her family in the Shroud. Here both Reinette and Ursulin would bond over mutual interests, and the former Dragoon would adopt Reinette’s family's surname as his own. With the adoption also came the adoption of the family's practices of magic, which he used to hide his former profession. Soon Reinette was taking Ursulin along on her adventures, until the both decided to uproot and bid the Rocane family farewell. They soon found employment within the Thaumaturge Guild, Reinette’s skills proving a boon to the handling of the dead. From the guild they turned to adventuring, until they both came embroiled in the plot of the Garlean Empire to destroy Eorzea. Unable to join her adopted brother in battle, Reinette did what she could to defend Ul’dah when the Guildmaster shut the frightened citizens out of the Thaumaturge guild. It was here that she gained the respect of future guildmasters, who she threw into when it came to tend to the city’s dead.Reinette lingered in Ul’dah, carrying bodies to the Lich Yard, performing cremation and the ilk. She could not shake the feeling that someone was missing and she could not remember who. During one of her trips to Drybone, she stumbled upon a Black Mage who appeared shell shocked. It was like a meteor had struck when the memories came back to her and she realized it was Ursulin. As before, she brought him back to her home and he fell into the goings on of the guild. Like before though, this was not meant to laugh. As the machinations of the Ascians came to light, Ursulin returned to the Warriors of Light and Reinette determined not be left behind again joined the Scions of the Seventh Dawn.

Draconian Sharlyan ColonyIn his youth Mimir was once a Wood Warder for a tribe of Veena in the mountain home, a position most males of his race did not question nor resent. Unfortunately this acceptance was something that his curiosity did not allow to develop. Unlike his peers he would steal from intruders who wandered into the mountain forests, hoarding books and other materials pouring over them when he could. When the petty thefts could no longer be satisfied, he turned away from the land of his birth and headed for some place he could sate his hunger for knowledge. This journey took him to the shores of Sharlyan where he was regarded with some suspicion and wariness. As an outsider he was seen as at best a nuisance, at worst an uneducated barbaric intruder. Mimir did not allow those assumptions to deter him, graced with both a keen intellect and a rare gift known as the Echo that allowed him to see within the Lifestream, he clawed his way up through the scholarly ranks.Amongst his peers was one Louisoux Leveilleur and the witch Montoya, two he considered both colleagues and respected rivals as they all came of age. With them he ventured out to the Sharlyan colony that was in the outskirts of Dravanian hinterlands. Mimir found himself falling into the circle of the idealistic Louisoux and what would be the base of the future Circle of Knowing. That idealism is what inspired Mirmir to follow Louisoux out of the Sharlyan colony, unable to agree with the forum’s long standing nonintervention policy. It was here they he joined with those heroes who would bare the future of the Star on their shoulders.
